I have attended Jo’s Horsforth group for almost 2 years. Have tried various different yoga classes in the past but Jo’s Iyengar class is exceptional. She is a fantastic teacher who is incredibly observant and her attention to each student throughout the class is amazing. I am aching so much now after Tuesday’s class, but in a very positive way!…as I am every week, because, through Jo’s teaching I push myself and I know how much this class has helped me physiologically.
Iyengar yoga is physically demanding but with a great teacher it’s very enjoyable too.. I have no hesitation in recommending Jo… Rick Camm – 2019

I’ve been going to Jo’s class for 18 months now and the difference in my stress levels and well-being are amazing. Jo is an exceptional teacher who is dedicated to getting the best out of the class for every person who attends. As a guy who was a little sceptical to start with and thought ‘yoga was for girls’ then I could not have been more wrong. Yes occasionally I might be outnumbered in the class but everyone is there to focus on the class and to enjoy it. For years I saw a physio each month to un-knot my back and shoulders and ease general aches and pains. Since I started with Jo, I haven’t been back for any physio at all. Yoga strengthens your core muscles in a way that does not put a strain on your joints (great for me in my early 50’s). I wish I’d discovered this years ago !! Martin Alton- 2019

Jo has been teaching yoga to my husband and myself for nearly 2 years now, and we would highly recommend her! Jo has managed our different needs (my unpredictable back and his knee and shoulder injuries) effortlessly and adjusts the routines to best help our individual needs. I would highly recommend Jo’s yoga classes. I have never had another yoga teacher who gets to know each individual’s needs and supports them so well. Because of this, each person is able to benefit as fully as possible from the class and make progress, whatever level they are at.
Jo is not only an expert yoga practitioner but she also has a good sense of humour – a great combination, which makes for a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. She also finds new ways of exploring poses each week which is helpful and interesting.

I started yoga nearly 2 years ago because I noticed that stretching into yoga positions after running stopped me getting injured. The effects in that respect been startling: I haven’t needed a physio appointment for my lower limbs since I started. I really enjoy the classes because Jo’s instructions are very clear and she is constantly monitoring everyone’s position, with comments and adjustments. Apart from the weekly class I also attend her monthly Saturday classes which are longer and enable you to explore the discipline more deeply. I’m more flexible as a result so my climbing has improved. So, I’ve recommended Jo to my wife and to my climbing partners and they’ve been impressed too. Jim Simpson 2018

I have attended Jo’s yoga classes for over 3 years now and can whole-heartedly recommend Jo as a knowledgeable, patient and attentive teacher. Jo expertly manages the differing needs within her classes, so that everyone feels challenged and supported.
